10 Things I have learned in the past few hours (in no particular order)

Friday, September 22nd, 2006

1, A white blogger cannot be racist if they can name a single POC blogger.

2, POC bloggers are always the worst racists.

3, Narcissism is the same thing as being gay.

4, The Big Bloggers are all big bloggers through hardwork and writing skill, even Kosimandius and Trexie-bell*, POC bloggers are not Big Bloggers due to their genes.

5, Nitpicking grammar and spelling is the same thing as wit.

6, Racism does not exist in Left Blogistan, that is why Left Blogistan’s Big Bloggers do not need to pay any heed to charges that Left Blogistan is racist from POC bloggers in Left Blogistan, QED.

7, There is no silver spoon.

8, Saying you’re gay makes you immune to all criticisms that you’re a racist misogynistic assbag.

8.5, Especially if you basically accuse your critics of being homophobes in an attempt to shut down their criticism.

9, Real non-racists do not care, to a given amount of care, that the people of color who they use as cheap tokens to protect them from having to actually face any charges that they might possibly have been racist, are people of color.

10, A white blogger cannot be racist if they can name a single POC blogger (via)

As with all moral codes of practice, the Hypocratic Oath failed to prohibit cheese whizz

I was rather surprised to see J Train in the comments at Pandagon whip this out

Shouldn’t this kind of thing put a doctor’s medical license in jeopardy?

I can’t imagine why. In general, unless a patient’s life or health is in immediate danger (and pregnancy doesn’t count), he’s under no obligation to write any prescription for anything. It’s his choice to make, just as it’s my choice to find another doctor, or (in my case) to not refer any of my patients to him.

Now why this logic surprised me, especially from someone who says they’re a doctor, is because this logic means that, due to how a person will not drop down dead immeidately upon contracting HIV, any time critical medications that could be used to stop a person contracting the virus in a short period of time immediately after they’re been exposed to potential infection is something which doctors are allowed to refuse their patients, even if refusing them and referring them on will lead to their patient contracting HIV.

But of course it is in fact perfectly moral silly heads. We know this because people who are very adamant about telling us that they’re Not, I repeat, NOT, Moral Relativists (and are definately not kantian nihilists) like those Dirty Jews Godless Liberals, also happen to hold the view that they are allowed to take away a women’s access to medication that will stop them suffering a life threatening medical condition, because they do not understand that there is a difference between an abortifacient and a contraceptive.

Cue Scientologist Pharmacists and Doctors refusing to prescribe anti-psych meds to schizaphrenics because they believe that mental illness is the result of psychic aliens. Sweet Chocolate Cthulhu (who commands me to take Plan B after I have a condom malfunction btw) forbid we let actual medical knowledge get in the way of made up theology now

And of course, the teeny tiny, ever so slight, basic medical fact that Plan B is not, never was, and will never be, an abortifacient is why of course I was some what perplexed by the next comment by J Train:

Is there any way we can send these pricks a complimentary copy of the Hypocratic (not hypocritic) Oath, as in FIRST DO NO HARM?

Oddly enough, the original Hippocratic Oath (which does not contain the line about doing no harm) includes a very specific line about not giving anything to produce an abortion. (Not to conflate abortion and Plan B.) This is one of the many reasons why the Oath is very archaic and is almost never used in its original form.

Emphasis mine because it’s just Sooo delicious, “Let me conflate Plan B and Abortion (Though I wouldn’t want to conflate Plan B and abortion or anything)”, Thank you Doctor J for that, do not let your blithering be affect by the fact that, due to the original Hypocratic Oath (not to be confused with any of the other, more modern Hypocratic Aaths, which do not, like women’s right to personhood, exist thanks to the wonders of sperm magic) having a strict prohibition against abortion, that stopping a woman from obtaining a contraceptive, like Plan B, is also prohibited, please.

Now no doubt some will object to pregnancy being compared to HIV though, and you would have a slight point, pregnancy is much less deadly than HIV, or Small Pox, or the 1918 flu pandemic, it is, I must admit, truly a pussy cat compared to many hideously deadly illnesses.

And to qualify that and to paraphrase Marx even; if by “people”, you mean rich white women with medical insurance, then it kills nearly no one at all.

If, however, you mean actual people, with functioning brains and everything, then it kills a few hundred women a year, in america, disproportionally black women too, and in fact kills women in an inverse proportion to how much pre-natal care they can afford during the pregnancy.

Which I believe, if my math holds, is slightly more than, say, erectile dysfuntion.

But again, I come up agaist the great wall of logic which means that medical decisions that are made doctors who actively refuse to accept modern medical facts, preferring instead an ad hoc made up reality in which Plan B dismembers and feeds to Joe Lieberman proto-humanoid lifeforms, and favors this pan-medical view in such a way that it threatens the life of their patients even, are not in any way criminally negligent.

Any Lawyers in the house? Is there a reason why we can’t sue (or whatever) a doctor for reckless endangerment or some such, given that this bullshit will eventually lead to some women who’s ethics do not allow her to abort, dying during an otherwise avoidable pregnancy? If neccesary we can declare this attack on women’s bodily autonomy “pornographic” and set Zombie Andrea Dworkin on it, but seriously, this seems like something we could work through the courts to defeat, why aren’t we?

Anorexia is Patriarchal

I was going to put something like this in the big ass Hijab post I’ve been working, but it’s started bloating something horrible so I’ll just spell it out now in a seperate post because it’s a serious point that some people aren’t getting and I think I just figured out why. (more…)

The final word on Evolution Vs. Creationism

Wednesday, September 13th, 2006

Okay, that’s it, I’ve finally been dubbed a moonbat, however as Nubian doesn’t actually hold the view that race conquers all, instead going so far as to actully coin the term “Oppression Olympics” for that sort of pissing contest, I feel that Alon Levy may not be an authoritive, nor official classification.

There’s only one thing for me to do: Fly into Vox Day’s haircreature and finally conclude the on going arguement that surround the competing theories of Creationism and Evolution (more…)

My system of oppression has a bigger cock than your system of oppression

Monday, September 4th, 2006

This is possibly one of the most irritating ideas I’ve seen in all the internets:

“…how does your primacy of feminism play out with other POC…and in the blogosphere, away from sites like this?” maggiethewolf

It doesn’t. I don’t even go there. It’s a waste of my time to concern myself with racism since sexism precedes it. Racism will only end when sexism, the root oppression, ends.

This reminds of that story about those blind wise guys who start fondling an elephant and then start argueing afterwards about what the elephant is like.

“it is like a bat’s wing!” declares the wise guy who’d been fiddling with the elephant’s ear.

“No, it is like a tree trunk – stout and cylindrical.” argues the wise guy who’d been fiddling with the elephant’s leg.

“You are both wrong, it is long and supple like a snake!” cries the third wise guy, who had been feeling up the elephant’s trunk, or something.

So too goes the endless discussion on which system of oppression is bigger, badder and needs to be tackled more urgently.

So this black guy, this poor guy and a middle class white woman see that rich white guys are always at the very top of all the systems of oppression.

So the black guy goes “You see, it is rich white guys who are the oppressors, and so racism is the ultimate system of oppression, we must deal with racism first and foremost.”

“No no, it is the rich white guys who are the oppressors, and so capitalism is the ultimate system of oppression, we must deal with capitalism first and foremost.” argues the poor guy.

“No no NO, you’ve got it all wrong, it is rich white guys who are the oppressors, and so the patriarchy is the ultimate form of oppression, we must deal with patriarchy first and foremost!” Cries the middles class white woman.

The black guys and the poor guy then look at each other and say together “shut up you stupid bitch.” (more…)

Definitive proof of the blaming lobe

Saturday, September 2nd, 2006

One of the many many things lost within the whole sportset hoo-haa and the subsequent metacommentary on arguements themselves, is that the advert for the sportset is yet another piece of definative proof for the existence of the “blaming lobe”, as all peice of propaganda for the patriarchy are.

Now the importance of the blaming lobe to feminists should be obvious, because it provides a physical source for the way everyone blames the patriarchy, and make no mistake, I mean everyone, from the most hardcore radfem to the most hardcore rapist – none are free from the power of the blaming lobe to urge people to examine their lives for patriarchal oppression.

We know everyone blames because, since time immemorial the patriarchy has used some version of this empowerment culture that all you crusty geezers are chatting about these days.

And the reason that proves the existence of the blaming lobe is simply thus: the empowerment culture is a direct result of everyone’s innate propesnity to blame, turned towards the ends of patriarchy. (more…)

Hang up those clitorii girls, the under 30′s set is coming to town

given that Randombird has apparently taken lessons in “feminist theory” at college, and yet is also inexplicably unaware that performing sexual acts you do not want to do is rape, I am left with this simple question, and do please excuse this non-college going fem for her ignorance…

But WTF do they actually TEACH women in those feminist theory classes?

Because someone obviously forgot the basics in that syllabus.

Seriously, what do they teach in those classes, anyone who’s taken them want to inform us plebs?

Because rather than inexplicably blaming entire age groups (in this case the evil demons like me who have been lauching our asses off while the boomers and Xers spent our childhoods fighting constantly over who’s got the bigger zeitgeist) I’d like to ask the fundamental that should be asked: Why the fuck is my generation so prone to RandomBird’s stupid bullshit? Why is “I’m a sexual person” automatically phrased, more often than not, as “I wanna subsume my wants, desires and personality beneath a gentle tide of blowjob spit and objectification, STARE AT MY TITS DAMMIT, STARE. AT. MY. TITS!“, like female sexuality that is all about men being pleasured and gently titillated whenever a woman is present was only invented as a result of the mythic feminist destruction of the patriarchy in the 1960′s, and it is the only way for a woman to be sexual dontyaknow.

Oh wait second, now I remember: Patriarchy. (more…)

One Question

Tuesday, August 29th, 2006

Has anyone who isn’t Ayn Rand ever used the term “Breeder” as an insult?

Seriously, I’ve never seen this, ever, except when people are attacking people who aren’t nicey nice with their criticism – which of course is always too harsh for some people, no matter how nicely you try to sugar coat it, because the mere act of criticsim is always not nice, duh, which is why I’ve never felt an incentive to bother trying – in which case they are inexplicably against mothers.

Which I must point out, is really mean, you meanie meanie heads, stop it!!! *bursts into tears and runs crying from the room*

If this was a LJ, the “BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, Ahem” gif would be used about now

This thread is quite frankly, the stupidest non-Anty-poo derived thing I’ve read in a while.

Where to start, oh dear, oh dear…

I reckon that a key aspect of a utopian society will be when right-wingers understand that the bad thing about Nazi Germany was the mass murder of 10 million jews, minorities, socialist, communists, gypsies, blacks, homosexuals and white german women who used contraceptives, because they could all be used as a cheap source of labor for the Nazis’ business friends.

Not the work schemes that the weimar republic started and Hitler merely finished.

Everyone clear on that? the socialist work schemes of Nazi germany = not bad, mass murder of minorities and socialists/communists, imperialist warmongering and totalitarianism = bad.

Same with Stalinist Russia, totalitarianism, mass murder, and imperialist warmongering = bad, socialised medicine = not bad.

Israel’s a Carcer troll, Hizbullah’s a Carcer Troll, so is HAMAS and The Economist too

Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006

Now for those who don’t get the reference, a “carcer troll” is troll who acts like a character from Terry Pratchett’s Night Watch, Carcer is a total sociopathic psychopath, but he has the curious habit of, upon being put into a spot he can’t bite or stab or kill his way out of, of producing a little deprecating laugh, smiling, and with of course the insanely honest face that only hardcore psychopaths have, saying “What did I do?”.

This of course wouldn’t be so bad if he didn’t usually say this after having just killed someone, and while he’s still covered head to toe in his victims’ blood.

Now a “carcer troll” is a troll who embodies the spirit of Carcer, the best example of this was that Robert creature who I believe still makes Alas unbearable to comment in, now its MO was quite simple, never swear, never directly insult someone, or break the officially written down ruels of the forum, but do derail every thread, disrupt good discussions and indirectly insult people in a way they can deny later on if they get called on it, and then if anyone calls it on those things, well then the equivalent of “what did I do?” gets whipped out, “I was just asking a question” or “I was just adding an opposing view”, or, for added hilarity, one of his sock puppets appears and notes that a troll can’t disrupt a thread unless other commenters help him.

Which is wonderful really, because it suddenly places all the blame for the trolling, not on the head of the troll who came and intentionally did his best to derail and disrupt the thread, oh no, it’s of course the person who reacted as the troll expected them to.

It is never the fault of the person reacting to someone else’s incitement to act, when they do act, no it’s not the fault of the youth gangs who set cars on fire, it’s the fault of the racist French society that created an underclass with the pent up rage necessary to set Paris alight for a week or so, the same goes for the LA riots, when you set things up so that the only sane reaction to life is to set things on fire, you cannot then complain about things getting set on fire.

So anyway, anyone read The Economist? because it had the words “Nazrallah wins the war” on the cover recently, so I thought it’d be good for a laugh and a glimpse into the brians* of people who think like Kos, you know, people who can ignore the death and destruction created by politics in lieu of focusing on the remarkably abstract world of platonic politics, where actions do have consequences, but they’re icky and therefore ignored.

And boy was I in for some good things, their Middle East and Africa section has two very interesting articles, the first is “divided Lebanon”. (more…)

Bacon Prohibition – The Adult Choice

Wednesday, August 16th, 2006

Some may have noticed that I somewhat hate Kosimandius and Jerome Armstrong and most of the Dems and every single wanky, floppy, woman hating, homophobic, sociopathic “win at any cost” centrist and rightwing collaborating “liberal” who’s willing to throw everyone’s rights away to the four corners of the earth just so they can have a feel good win by voting for a political party that actually gets elected for once.

But ever since I passed my Abortion with flying colors (my doctor put a smiley face sticker on my report card and everything) a while ago I’ve felt a change come about me.

Yeah, sure, legal abortions, civil rights and freedom are nice to have and all, but are they really more important than the feel good buzz that can only come from supporting a team political party that actually wins for once?

I think not. (more…)
