I’m quite fond of the phrase “obligation in personal relations”. Isn’t the point of personal relations (of ANY flavor, really) that you WANT to, not that you HAVE to? The people I see on a day to day basis because I HAVE to I generally call Co-Workers, and I’m getting compensated 6.55 per hour plus tips to put up with their redneck alcoholic asses.

Since you mentioned that paragraph, we are also required to give kudos to whatever Pandagon commenter who noticed that Dennis was lumping “Not now, I’m bloated from Taco Bell” equal weight with “I don’t want to because it’s too much like how Daddy wronged me.” Bloat, sexual trauma, either way, Prager ain’t getting any so whatever the problem is bitch, solve it.

I started reading the article aloud to my husband–when I got to the part about “But for most women, for myriad reasons—female nature, childhood trauma, not feeling sexy, being preoccupied with some problem, fatigue after a day with the children and/or other work, just not being interested—” he shrieked, “Oh my God, stop reading it, PLEASE!”

There was so much wrong in that article that even though almost every comment on those threads contributed to the list of wrong to be found we still didn’t touch my favorite sentence:

Historical denigration of women’s worth since the 1960′s? Really, Dennis? Really?!?!
