Gad, who’d say such a dumb-ass racist thing as that?!

Oops!

Biden. Huh. That Obama continues to impress me with his strategy. I bet it was precisely Biden’s well-publicized foot-in-mouth moment that tipped the balance in his favor. Obama has consistently taken every step to be the safe, non-threatening (to whitey) black man, even going so far as to badmouth the character of black men on a regular basis (rather than, say, the economic forces and institutionalized judicial racism that make life so difficult for them). To choose, from the original Democratic prez contenders, the whitest whitey of the bunch, and the only one to make a major racial gaffe to boot, reinforces the “non-threatening black man” theme quite effectively.

The fact that Biden completely shares Obama’s “we must support this war, only let’s run it PROPERLY” message, but is widely perceived to have the foreign policy chops that Obama is widely perceived to lack, doesn’t hurt either.

I was hoping for Sebelius. ;_; If nothing else, Biden might be the third Dan Quayle?

Who was the second Dan Quayle? Shrub?
