It's worth mentioning that the band itself <a href="http://louisproyect.wordpress.com/2008/06/05/heavy-metal-in-baghdad/" rel="nofollow">claims that their stuff was non-political</a>-- they were just kids who really liked Heavy Metal. (Enough to risk their lives for it, evidently.) Unfortunately the DVD doesn't look like it's available in Japan yet, but I really want to see the <a href="http://www.heavymetalinbaghdad.com/" rel="nofollow">documentary about them</a>. Thanks Lisa!
