You always become what you hate.

My ex-fiance finally has extracted his revenge. After five years of mocking his every gamer move, I am smitten with the game Portal, and it makes me no better than them. For five years I resisted the siren song of gaming, playing only the occasional game of Halo because it’s Halo fer godsake. In Portal, I quickly made it to level 17.
During finals week.
I will happily purchase items that feature slogans that are only funny to people who play the game. I will finish the game as soon as I get a new disc to replace the one my roommate destroyed, and then I’ll finish it on advanced.
I made the cake.

I can’t believe he won. Bastard. But the cake is terrific, so delicious and moist.
I have no idea what the symbol is, but the cake looks gorgeous.
Portal (and the fact that I don’t have a DVD player) is largely why I’m in the process of rationalizing the purchase of an Xbox 360. There’s probably a nontrivial chance of me failing out of grad school if that happens. But what the hell - I do hear good things about the cake, after all.
Welcome to the dark side. It’s more fun here.
That cake looks really good.
That is one sexy cake.
It’s the strawberries. I expected a slice of strawberry in a mouthful of chocolate cake to be good, but oh. my. god.
Good games are like action or sci-fi novels for me. The last time I pick it up, I go through the last 1/4 of the story line in one go, usually ending a few hours after I planned to be asleep.
Unlike good, thrilling books, games are made by major studios with teams of artists, writers, mathematicians, and of course programmers. A whole world, until I finish the story.
I like games.
The Cake is a Lie.
And my Tshirt is on it’s way.
And the Fraking plush companion cube was sold out within hours of being available.
Also, and finally google: “portal feminism” and enjoy the reading

Interesting.
I need the recipe for that cake. My friends would flip.
