The unions that made these jobs well paying are dead or nearly dead and the wages and benefits that came with them are gone as well. I want to draw blood from anyone that starts to bloviate about all the “good jobs out there” when all they can name are low paying, horridly dangerous jobs and to top it off, offered by temp agencies. fortunately no one has told me that Manpower and Labor Ready are famous for their high living wages and activism for worker’s rights. I’d probably have to commit a felony act in response to such a lie.

Never mind that most of these jobs were never open to a large portion of the economy; women and still aren’t, but hey, its the women’s fault for being women while trying to make a living.
