I got a publication back from the printer this week — I’d proofread it, the committee of people who wanted this newsletter proofread it (all six of them!!!!!!) and I got anxious at the very end and had my friend proofread it and then I went through it one more time. Came back from the printer, and all 500 copies had, in place of the fax number, the dept. chair’s personal phone number.

This is why I mostly work online anymore; I can’t stand that kind of anxiety and humiliation.

hey marc, have you checked out browsercam.com? it’s this thing where you give it your website address (we use it on our development pages at my company) and it displays what it would look like in different browsers and screen resolutions and OSes all on one page. it costs money, but our designers swear by it - you can even put in multiple pages in a list and it saves them, so you can switch from project to project easily.

Not yet, but the (work) day isn’t over for another 45mins…

I was really surprised by the number of changes/differences/problems just between IE6 and IE7. And, of course, CSS support differences between Mozilla-based browsers like FireFox/Netscape and IE are legend. (Luckily, I don’t have to mess with Safari…)
