It's especially bad when they're your own relatives, and you remember when they made sense. Of course, I don't know about you, but my grandfather didn't have a national stage upon which to embarass himself. He had to settle for the local noriety of forgetting to put his clothes on before taking the elevator down to a lobby filled with girls from my cousin's high school doing their volunteer work at the old folk's home.
