It’s sort of like a game of “Where’s Waldo” where the prize is a gag-inducing truth about our priorities.

OMG!!!! I had noooo ideeeaaaa American Idol had a ‘country night.’

Someday someone will write a media textbook with a section about how the pressure to bring in ad revenue combined with the blurring of information and entertainment was at least partially responsible for the decline of America as a world power. They could use this screenshot as an illustration.

I am also concerned about how Justice Scalia will vote in the troubling case of American Idol v. democracy/mass social retardation. Take a little pill and it will all go away…

I was really worried about the abortion ban being upheld. Until I heard about Tiger’s insomnia. And the bees.

And of course, the headline is about how happy this makes the GOP.

But… okay, yeah, abortion whatever… but ARE cell phones killing the bees? I can’t believe you just totally failed to report on this. I think you need to stop thinking about your reproductive “rights” and consider somebody else for a change.

BEE HATER BEE HATER BEE HATER!!!

I think “bee-shortage” is moderately important, because of consequences for agriculture. More important than Pop Idol or whatever it was, at least.

I am also somewhat concerned about the bees. But it is wrong that the bee story is the most critical, rather than the least critical, blurb on that splash screen.

I bet Simon killed the bees with his “annoyed look.” That’s probably why they get to be in the featured section. The people dying in Baghdad? They probably can’t even _get_ American Idol.

I guess I shouldn’t have waited until American Idol was over the other night to get my abortion. Crap.

There’s a bee shortage? Then where is my delicious honey coming from?

“There’s a bee shortage? Then where is my delicious honey coming from?”

Just in case it wasn’t obvious, I was joking. I’ve been getting quite an education on argument deflection from trolls lately - thought I’d try out a technique in jest. :D
