Holy sweat, the greatest evidence of global warming may be that it’s 180 degrees in the White House…Bush just mentioned “global climate change” on national TV in a sentence WITHOUT the words “flaky screwball fruitcake jerkwads who call themselves scientists.” That’s a first…

P.S. Just saw The Corporation not long ago. Scary to hear from their mouths what corporate bigwigs would like to own (rivers, DNA sequences, etc.) Anyway, your post info is evidence the pendulum IS finally swinging back toward center, and none too soon. Cheers!

I dunno, this post almost makes the corporate leaders sound like they have a conscience.

At least some of them stepped forward, admittedly, because they see the writing on the wall—not that the globe is warming, but that the Fed Gov is going to have to address it soon. As one CEO put it (but I’ll use my own metaphor) he has the choice of bending over and taking what the Fed is going to give him, or he could step forward and be in the discussions with the Fed and possibly have sway over exactly what will soon be shoved up his backside.

I think it’s awesome they’re addressing it, but until they prove otherwise, the average corporate CEO hasn’t grown a conscience or a nonselfish bone yet. I only wish I could be so arrogant and greedy…ya’ know it’d be fun.

I don’t know if this is a typo, but if not, it’s very evocative.

Left to our own devices, we’re almost always going to make the short-sighted, selfish choice. That’s why we make laws, to force us to do the right thing even when we might not want to in any given moment.

The weird thing is, wingtards realize this, which is why they want to make it illegal to cheat on your spouse or fuck yourself with a piece of plastic. They don’t even trust themselves not to feel gay lust if they don’t have the fear of the law in them.
