Texans QB David Carr on how fans should feel about his 1 TD and 7 INTs over the last 8 games:
“First of all, merry Christmas to everyone,” Carr said. “That’s exactly what we need to be talking about. Don’t let what the Texans are doing, what I’m doing, ruin your Christmas. That’s the message I want to send out.”
I guess Carr was worried all that “war on Christmas” rhetoric was aimed at him.
Sadly, this probably isnt the lowpoint for (my face & your grass) Carr, yet … wait a few more games for that.
I’ll go ahead and paraphrase, cause I’m feeling lazy, but here’s what a couple of Oregon Ducks had to say about the upcoming Las Vegas Bowl:
Coach Mike Bellotti: We’re happy, because the Las Vegas Bowl is a great bowl, plus we can be home by Christmas.
RB Jonathan Stewart: Well, guys want to go home to see their families, like all the other college students. We want to get this W to end the season on a positive note, and then get home for Christmas.
With an attitude like that, I can’t believe they didn’t run the table.
David Carr’s performance didn’t ruin Christmas; Charlie Casserly ruined Christmas back on draft day.
The Texans should re-hire him just so they can actually fire him instead of letting him off the hook by quitting.
I don’t remember
