    Isn’t it to be expected that the Y chromosome would do the most changing, in any species, over any period of time, since it’s gradually disappearing as its functions (other than malemaking) are taken over by the X chromosome?

    wtf? Arab society has always been polygamous (polygynous, really), and the Koran does not stipulate polygamy anywhere (any more than it stipulates wearing a veil, another Arab custom that has been commingled with Islam).
