That’s pretty catchy and funny. I like it. I don’t think I’d show something quite that innuendo laden to children though
Teeheehee! I’m going to go play it again! And hum that song all during class tomorrow.
Man, she’d think I’m sick the way I put up pictures of my cats in their birthday suits on the web.
Ok, kind of related but not really story. I was at a Duhks concert last Friday, and they have this song, I have no idea what it’s called, that is about incest. They told this anecdote about a woman telling them how it’s her four or five year old daughter’s favorite song. And they were like “are you OK with that? You know it’s about incest, right?” And the woman responded, “Yeah, but she only knows the first line “It was past her bedtime”(or something like that, I’m paraphrasing) – she thinks it’s a song about a young girl who stays up past her bedtime.”
My favorite song when I was 7 was “Billie Jean”. I guarantee you I had no idea what it was about. I also loved “She Bop”, and I probably couldn’t have told you what masturbation was on a dare.
What bent me good was when The Archies covered Dinah Mo Hum.
My favorite song as a young child was “Darling Nikki”. I loved that song and knew all the words. But I didn’t have a clue what the song was about. Hell, I thought Prince was saying “master baby” and wondered what that was. When my mom caught me listening to it, she forbade me from playing the song anymore. I was upset and didn’t understand why she hated the song. Of course, she didn’t declined to go into detail about why the song was unacceptable. I’d like to note that no Senate hearings or labeling schemes resulted from my mother discovering me listening to this song.
