when the status quo frustrates.

The Return of Elder George: Patriarchy will turn that frown up-side-down!

Rejoice, all, for Elder George is back to guide us. Today he lets us in on a little secret about men and depression – there is no such thing as a depressed man. There are only men who are all discombobulated because the women, children and elderly no longer have to gaze at them adoringly and prop up thier ego. The only solution is to model ourselves after Syria. Perfect, perfect Syria.

The article indicated that men don’t step forward as women do with their feelings of depression; that they must learn to acknowledge their feelings and be willing to receive treatment. Barker reported that in order to de-stigmatize mental health problems a lot more work would have to be done.

The above paragraph alone provided more than enough fodder for the next one thousand words or so. It illustrated the feminine and material thinking of Western society mixed in with a generous amount of ignorance…

Peter Barker didn’t even pose the question, are rates of male suicide in England high or low when compared to the rest of the world? In a previous blog I mentioned that Denmark and Sweden had the same rates of male suicide, which were 150 times that of Iraq, 200 times that of Syria, and 300 times that of Egypt; data that can easily be verified on the Internet Now when a nation has a national suicide rate two hundred to three hundred times that of other nations, one would expect that they would ask why.

You know what would fix that problem? Some patriarchy. Real patriarchy, with polygamy and everything. Don’t worry about the women-they’ll adapt, that’s what they do.

People raised in a strong extended family environment have a sense of security not known in the West; they also have a strong sense of purpose, a commonality of interest, an appreciation of the world of their creator, and a developed spiritual awareness.

Extended family can only develop in a patriarchal and polygamous environment-an environment natural to the universe.

Riiiigghhtt….

Well, if my options are to adapt to patriarchy on the Biblical model or a society with fewer men because they are casting themselves into the sea over their dispair at becoming consumers and cogs in the capitalist machine, then I’m going to have to adapt to option B. Nothing personal, guys, and if you want to explore other options to shake those blues, we can certianly talk. I, being female, am willing to be flexible. But Biblical-style patriarchy and or polygamy are not on the table. Again, sorry for the inconvenience.

But then, I am one of those pariahs – an American woman. And since America is overrun with us (we’re everywhere!) it makes sense that men seeking to soothe their angst would have to look elsewhere for solace, as the sixth commenter on George’s thread indicated. Please note how this man is not selling anything. Really. He just wants you to visit his site. And maybe Russia.

For some time now I’ve taken an interest in the various elements of the Men’s Movement and have wanted to advocate a different line of thinking that I believe will significantly advance the well being of Western men everywhere.

Most of us intimately know the abyss of pain that comes with the dissolution of a marriage. . .

In the modern women that surround us we unfortunately face an adversary that we
actually want to love. However because that desire is turned against us, to pursue them romantically would likely spell our own demise. In the absence of trust.. in the absence of support.. in the absence of sacrifice.. we are faced with a grim calculus of competing interests. And like it or not.. for the sake of ourselves, for our future progeny, and for the very future of society itself we must change this equation. . .

If we realize the cause then the solution becomes obvious in that we should open up every man’s range of choices outside of the traditional domestic domain. For some this may mean looking towards Asia or South America while for many others like myself that path lead to the beautiful and traditional women of Russia and the FSU.

*sniff* That was the most (*chokes up*) beautiful and elegant blogwhoring I’ve ever seen. So touching.

So is it that Men’s News Daily is a large collection of morons who know nothing about science (physics, psychology, etc) or is it that it’s just the same guy spouting bullshit? I think further research is in order. Of course, I like to protect my sanity, so I will most definitely not be doing the research.

They seem to be mainly an MRA link farm with some bloggers. Mike LaSalle was the “physics” guy, and is also the editor I believe. This guy, Elder George, has his own mission on a separate site which I will have to dig up again, because it is a wonder to behold. I used to have it bookmarked but our computer succumbed to a virus the other day and we had to reformat the drive. He’s not the craziest blogger there, however, One of the women who blog there wrote a post about how the government was using global warming as a cover for their secret weather-control projects. That’s the stuff that keeps me going back for more.

But if you need an example of men hating women, the comments of any given blog entry will usually provide.

They’ve got teeth down there now, you know that? Big, shiny, white teeth where teeth should just not be.

    …wow.

Y’know, when I first saw “Elder George” I thought you must mean GBush Sr. wondering why he was choosing to speak about depression of all things; but also thinking: “Huh. That would explain a lot.”

so. guy’s really called “Elder George,” huh.

and, well, that article, and, the publication, that it’s in.

    well.

    huh.

    wow.

    >There are many things that women don’t do that men do because they are not men. Of course this is a deep concept to a society that does not understand gender differences>

“They eat of the beef, and enjoy to look at the bosoms.”

I also thought it was Bush Sr. for a second.

But .. wont that result in massive immigration from these countries? Aren’t they against immigration? or is it only brown people that aren’t welcome?

Of course, after a few years in the US & being in contact with radical american women, these slavewifes will rebel and demand divorce too, so obviously Something Will Have To Be Done

Unlike American women, these men understand that love requires sacrifice.

Something Will Have To Be Done

Hey, you’re right. I wonder if it would be too much to expect them to move to “Asia or South America” themselves to avoid having to bring their mail-order brides back to the poisoned watering hole. Of course, then they’d have to deal with in-laws.

I’m baffled. Is this guy really saying that the only way for men to live is to make women miserable? That when women are happy, men (who are supposed to be the strong ones right) can’t just see a therapist and spank their inner moppet? Instead they have to collect women like action figures and force them to do all their housework?

This is some fucked up shit right there.

Am I correct in guessing that Elder George is a Mormon? (Please – I don’t have the stomach to visit that site). I’m basing this on the name, and the pro-polygyny stance. (Aside – this is a pet peeve of mine – when someone says “polygamy” when they really mean one male with many female spouses, which is polygyny. Polygamy also includes polyandry (one female, multiple males), but I doubt Elder George includes that in his vision of a perfectly patriachal world.)

Continuing on – I wonder how George would explain this fun little by-product of polygamy?. If God* really wanted all men to have multiple wives, why do humans naturally reproduce a population split of around 50/50? Oh right – ’cause he WANTED you to abandon the little boys and marry the little girls.

What can turn you from a cruel, cold-hearted pedophile into a Righteous Man? The Patriarchy! While supplies last!

*I’m not saying that God has anything to do with this. I’m just saying that religious advocates of polygyny need to take some remedial math classes.

Repeat after me: correlation does not equal causation, correlation does not equal causation.

Not that he’s actually shown a lot of real evidence for correlation either.

I’m lost at the massive, massive leap from “extended families are Good Things” to “and by the by, only patriarchal, polygynous environments produce extended families.”

This is just my personal experiental data here, but on my (Filipina) mum’s side of the family I’ve got three aunts, three uncles, seven cousins, and a grandfather (grandmother’s recently deceased). Extended family to the MAX — and plenty more to boot who still live overseas. I’ve got literally hundred of other relatives whom I’ve never even met. But it sure as hell didn’t take a “patriarchal, polygynous environment” to produce this particular extended family.
