There’s been alot of talk during Jihad Bowl ’06, as there always is during the Jihad Bowl, about how Palestians – or whatever other populace gets caught in the middle of the whole eternal war between different colored Godzillas that is Jihad Bowl – should just deal with the trouble makers in their midst, like HAMAS or Hizbollah are some pissant street punks who just need a good talking to and Palestine is an actual fairly governed democracy.
HAMAS is a very powerful, highly opportunistic and well funded militant organisation, and expecting the palestinian people – who HAMAS has occasionally kidnapped, tortured, sent to syrian torture camps, and killed for pissing them off politically – to deal with them is stupid, especially when it makes much more sense for the Isreali populace, who are not, as a general rule, under the constant fear of HAMAS stormtroopers (as in the Nazi SA stormtroopers who they most accurately resemble politicaly) kidnapping them in the night for anti-HAMAS dissent and actions, to deal with the politicians, who’s reaction to anything done by anyone else in the middle east is to start these bullshit dickmeasuring contests that form the meat and potatos of Jihad Bowl.
And that’s before you even start to deal with who’s actually in charge in Lebanon, Syria is not just a place we send the occasionaly spare torture victim, oh no, it also basically rules Lebanon by proxy, and again, blaming the Lebanese or Palestianian people for Syria or hizbollah or HAMAS, especially given that the last two groups are more like organised crime syndicates than actual political or revolutionary groups, is unfair and unjust.
Isreal, as a democratic nation, on the other hand has no one but itself to blame for its actions, and it is one of the few countries on earth that should really be held to the high standard of moral behavior its constant use of the holocaust canard calls for.

You had a point up until there. Do you actually, seriously believe that Israeli soldiers “enjoy using children for sniper practice”?
Why would that neccesarily surprise you? because it seem inhumanely immoral? They’re soldiers fighting against an enemy who they know deserves much worse, why should they be any more moral than American troops who have literally used children for sniper practice in Iraq?
Humans who are pressured and trained correctly to think of their enemy as inhuman will eventually do stuff like that, always, and here people telling us how ordinary palestinians, who have probably witnessed a HAMAS execution of homosexuals or political dissenters now and again, just need to deal with a well funded militant organisation when Mossad has repeatedly destroyed and fucked up every single civil jihad group that looked like it might actually do some good in Palestine.
The Palestinian people, and the Lebanese people too, are stuck between multiple forces, all of whom are so focused on getting more and more power for themselves that they don’t even notice the blood of the innocents who soaking into their boots, and they cannot do anything about it because they do not have the power and everytime they try to get that power, one of those giants squashes them for trying.
Free and moral nations of the world, and America and Britain too, have always needed to pressure Isreal into stopping this cycle of bullshit, because pressuring the various tyrannies and terrorist groups by doing stuff that provides them with more support (when the west doesn’t out and out supply them with weapons) isn’t realy working.
But Isreal? Isreal and its citizens are the most free and empowered citizenry in the entire region, they’ve got a fully working democracy who’s voters do not fear the occasional political purge or midnight kidnapping for voting the wrong way, they are one of the most secure and safe people in the region – and as this is a country that routinely sees cafe bombings, you start to get a good picture of how fucked up things in the region really are – they have a duty to stop the cycle of blood, they’ve got the most powerful military force in the region, the entire developed world would come to their aid if anyone tried to invade and actually wipe isreal of the face of the earth (because despite the land hungry arab tyrants’ declarations to the contrary, Isreal should be there), but the repeated abuse of that UN given soveignty and support for the purpose of military attacks on civilian populations and what is basically Lebensraum.
Jihad Bowl, for westerners often boils down to a debate about who deserves to blow the other people up more, and the simple answer to it is of course no one ever deserves to blow someone else up really, but as it stands HAMAS needs isreal to be violent for their power and will incite them whenever possible, the same too with Hizbollah and Syria, Isrealis conservative politicans also need those incitements because, and this is an outsider’s views so I could be wrong, those politicans really need to prove that their wee-wee is bigger and badder than the various other arab nations’ wee-wees, and mask it under talk about how Isreal needs to defend itself.
Because I know nothing stops Isrealis being killed like exacerbating the conflict so more isrealis will be killed and their deaths used to justify exacerbating the conflict some more.
Isreal ain’t losing out because of their reign of terror in the middle east, they’re only doing what they do right now because they are so supremely secure, both militarily, economically and, for the conservative Isrealis, politically too, and until that changes because of outside forces pressing down on Isreal to just stop and make HAMAS and Hizbollah go cold turkey from the IDF given political power they currently feast on. (Jimmy Carter is no doubt partially to blame for the lack of sanctions being laid against Isreal, that man hates sanctions like they keep breaking into house every morning so they can personally piss in his cornflakes or something)
Of course, the Arabs are a semitic people, as are the Jews and christians in the region, Semitic peoples should really join together against the various caucasoid bastards who would love nothing better than to see them all wiped off the face of the earth, which would do alot in the way of dealing with the currently western funded dictators and terror regimes in the region, so maybe expecting those same western countries to help put an end to the conflicts that keep the money for armaments coming is a hopelessly nieve one.
Le sigh. Keeping on trucking Oh Godzillas of the Holy Land, let’s hope someone comes to their sense eventually, before there’s no one left to come to their senses.
