Ever since I got stung by one when I was little. I'm also afraid of bugs, but I don't run away screaming at the sight of bees. Heck, if there's a bug or something I'll usually try to kill it, even if it's a bee or wasp flying around in my room. Of course, if I have to move stuff with bugs on it, I get scared that they're gonna crawl inside my clothes or something, but other than that I'm fine. But seriously, pickles? No one hogtied her and dragged her there, she went there voluntarily and of course enjoyed compensation and a free trip, etc. And yes Maury's a sleazebag, but as long as there are attention-seeking schmucks willing to go on national TV and humiliate themselves, these shows will continue. There are much more effective places to get "cured" of a phobia than a 1-hour TV talk show notorious for its drama-fests. Yet she chose to go this route, so if people find it hilarious, she brought it on herself. I don't mean to sound mean-spirited, because I myself have a few not-so-normal phobias. But I find them embarrassing and certainly would not parade them around on a sensationalist TV show.
