I can definately see that it's less (or even un-)applicable to people who supported, say, Kosovo, or even Afghanistan, but lets face it, the military is screaming for more troops. They're practically letting paraplegics join just to get somewhere near recruitment goals. Being a chickenhawk is not the same as not joining the police, it's the same as not joining the police when the police force only has one member and the police chief says that they need more recruits everytime he appears on TV. Also the police budget has been slashed and crime is up and the one officer has come down with a nasty flu and doesn't have health insurance. And then you go ahead and write articles about how you support the police. I'm sorry, but the military themselves are saying that one of the things you can do most to support them is <I>fucking join</I>.
